Artisan Miniature Dollhouse IGMA Ferd Sobol RARE Regency Drop Leaf Inlay TablePrepare to be WOWED by the RARE and hard-to-find masterpiece made by the ever talented IGMA artist, Ferd Sobol, signed on the underside. Perfect for a grand display in your miniature dining room, this is a fabulous regency style drop leaf table. It features gorgeous hand carved woodwork including two pedestal bases with splayed legs terminating in hand cast brass toe caps. The top features a captivating sand charred floral marquetry inlay. Ferd's inlays are one of his 'special little extras' to delight his collectors, due to the fact that each piece is individually charred by hand by dipping it into hot sand before cutting. The leaf insert does have two tiny chips on the very edge (see photos), they would be easy to fix with stain or even a watercolor paints to blend the same color, the chips are very tiny.*This listing includes the drop leaf table, as described only. Any other prop items shown are not included, but are displayed for scale.*This miniature came from a wonderful lifetime, STUNNING miniature collection, all collected by Mesha and Clifford of New York. This amazing collection of treasured pieces will take some time to list, but they are worth the wait. The 1980s through the 1990s were one of the most interesting time periods in the miniature market, so many artists making their debut...this collection was curated during this time by going to shows, writing the artists and boarding planes to retrieve their long awaited treasures.
